The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) – the voice for medical groups in America – asked for a dedicated sub-site design featuring their primary networking and educational event, the AMGA Annual Conference. The conference is designed to prepare AMGA members as they encounter challenges in the new age of value-based health care and in the transformation of care delivery in the United States.
AMGA needed an inspiring new site design with a logical organization of content surrounding the event. The main challenges were to:
After gathering the requirements for the features and functionality of the new site, I analyzed content from AMGA’s previous conferences to develop a flexible, scalable, modern design. The template for the AMGA Annual Conference site would be used for each year’s conference, so the design needed to be flexible enough to accommodate content changes.
Wireframes were used as a tool for client interaction. We provided wireframes to describe the functionality and presentation of information that could exist on the new AMGA Conference web site. After a series of refinements, we arrived at a set of wireframes for the home page, landing pages, and several sub pages that served as a starting point for the interface design.
Blackbarn Media implemented the new design with Drupal’s robust CMS, so that AMGA would have an easily manageable website for quick updates to their lineup of speakers and presentations.
